Downpatrick progressed into the second round of the Border cup in emphatic style against their league counterparts Orangefield. The Under 16’s had the honour of being Downpatrick FC’s first underage team to play a competitive match and they were successful in securing their first win. Downpatrick can take a lot of positives out of Saturday’s game but they will need to adjust quickly to the length of the game and the quality of the opposition in order to start winning some matches.
