Club Notes – Week Beginning 30/09/19
- Downpatrick welcomed Malachians FC to Rosconnor on Saturday and raced into a three nil lead after half an hour thanks to a brace from Andrew McCoubrey and a debut goal from Declan McComisky. This Saturday they travel to play Grove United at Shore Road Playing Fields, this game kicks off at 2.00pm.
- The under 19’s followed up last week’s victory with another superb win against Northend United on Friday night at the Jordanstown 3G pitch by a score line of 3 – 2. Downpatrick’s goals were scored by Ethan Breen, Jack Fitzsimons and Conor Dornan. This Friday night they play Crewe United at Whiterock 3G pitch, this match kicks off at 8.15pm.
- The under 16’s get their league campaign started on Saturday morning when they travel to play Ballynahinch Olympic at Kilmore Playing Fields, kick off is 9.30am.
- The under 14’s suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of East Coast Strikers by a 4 – 2 score line. Downpatrick’s goals were scored by Ronan Deegan & Jake Harding. This Saturday they play Hillsborough Jets in Wallace Park at 11.15am.
- The under 13’s also suffered defeat when they were comprehensively beat by Hillsborough Juniors 5 – 0. This Saturday they play Lurgan Town in Barbour Playing Fields at 9.30am.
- The under 12’s got back to winning ways when they beat Dromara Colts 2 – 0 at the Lisburn Leisureplex, with a brace of goals coming from Leo Noble. This Saturday they play North End United at the Lisburn Leisureplex with the game kicking off at 10.00am.
- The under 11’s start their season on Saturday in the Downpatrick Youth League 9-a-side Development League with a match against Kilmore Rec Cubs in Dunleath. This match kicks off at 11.30am.
- Training for the follow age groups is as follows: 2011’s, 2012’s & 2013’s is on a Monday night from 6.00pm – 7.00pm at the 3G Pitch in the Red High.
