Downpatrick have teamed up with another local club to help fundraise for both clubs, read more below to find out who…
- Downpatrick FC have teamed up with Ballynagross for a Boxing Night, fighters from both teams will be going head to head in the ring to see which club will come out on top. This fantastic fundraiser will be held on Sat 28th February in Murphy’s Bar, tickets will be £10.00 and will be released soon. If anyone is interested in fighting in the fundraiser please contact Mark Murphy 07738 637702 ASAP.
- The first team will be hoping they are luckier this week and that they will get a game of football after last Saturday’s postponement, they welcome St Oliver Plunkett to Rosconnor in the 3rd round of the Clarence Cup, kick off is 1.30pm.
- The seconds are also in cup action this week, they play Drumaness in the 2nd round of the Harry Clarke Cup, kick off is also 1.30pm.
- The under 14’s and 16’s are in action in the Lisburn League on Saturday morning, the under 14’s travel to Moira to play Armagh City while the under 16’s play Lurgan Town at Barbour Playing Fields Lisburn. Both games kick off at 11.15am.
- The under 13’s will be looking to improve on last weeks poor result when they were beaten 5 – 1 by Portaferry, Downpatrick started well and went in front with a goal from midfielder Jack Fitzsimons but that was as good as it got. This Sunday they play Tollymore in Dunleath, kick off is 10.30am.
- The under 11’s play Celtic Bhoys and Coney Island on Saturday morning in the Development League, their first match kicks off at 9.50am and the second match kicks off at 10.20am.
- The Mini Soccer on a Sunday morning continues to grow, last week we had over 50 kids playing between the under 10’s and under 8’s age groups.
