Club Notes – Week Beginning 15/06/15

  • This years AGM will be on Monday 22nd June in Murphy’s Bar Function Room at 8pm all old and new members are welcome. Your local club needs your support, whether it’s sparing an hour to help with the clubs social media sites or the fundraising committee or even volunteering to help with the clubs administration please feel free to come along.
  • Downpatrick’s Development Centre started of on Monday night in glorious sunshine with over 70 kids attending. This Development Centre is open to everyone aged 4 years old to 10 years old and is on from 6.00pm to 7.00pm in the Red High and costs £2.00 per session per child. The Development Centre is on for another week 22nd June.
  • Plans for the Golf Day are in full swing, this year’s event is in association with KnockevinSpecialSchool and is on Friday 26th June at St Patrick’s Golf Club Downpatrick. Tee times are now available, please contact Mark Murphy 07738 637702. For non-members it costs £25.00 for a round of golf and £15.00 for members, this includes a meal afterwards. Like last year we will also be running the Hole-in-one competition with a chance to win a car from Ciaran Russell Auto Sales. Anyone interested in sponsoring a hole can contact Tony McShane on 07716 853990, to sponsor a green it costs £100.00, this includes your name on the Flag and two free rounds of golf on the day or sponsor the tee box costs £50.00, this includes one free round of golf on the day.
  • Downpatrick Ladies welcome neighbours Killyleagh to Dunleath tonight for the return league fixture, kick off is 7.30pm.
  • Trials start tonight for the under 14’s (2002’s) and 15’s (2001’s) age groups in Dunleath from 6.30pm – 7.30pm. A second trial for these age groups and for the u17’s (1999’s) will be on Saturday morning from 10.30am – 11.30am. Anyone that is interested in playing in the Lisburn League at these age groups can attend these trials, if you can’t attend the trials but still want to be considered please contact our Youth Development Officer Paul Moore on 07549 661772.
