Club Notes – Week Beginning 19/12/16

• Everyone at the football club would like to wish our members, players, coaches, sponsors and all their families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
• The Border Cup Final against Rathfriland Rangers is our next fixture and is on Tuesday 27^th December at Seaview, Crusaders, kick off is 2.30pm. Seats on the supporter’s bus to the Border Cup Final are filling up quickly, the bus will leave from Murphy’s Bar & Restaurant at 1.15pm and will cost £5.00 for adults and £3.00 for children under 16, all children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. In order to secure a seat it must be paid for in advance, either with Mark Murphy in Murphy’s Stores or any other committee member.
• Downpatrick welcome Ballynahinch Olympic to Rosconnor on Saturday 31^st December in the first round of the Clarence Cup, this match has a 1.30pm kick off.
• The seconds have no fixture now until the 7^th January when they travel to play Killough in the first round of the Harry Clarke Cup.
• The Lisburn League has shut down all league games now for all teams for Christmas and they will recommence on the 7^th
• The under 13’s play their Shield Final on the 2^nd January against neighbours Tollymore Bears, this match is at the Lisburn Leisureplex pitches and kicks off at 9.30am.
• The 9-a-side development team have no fixture now until the 7^th January, we hope that all the players and coaches enjoy their break and take the time to recharge their batteries.
• We would like to thank everyone who turned up on Saturday morning at the Eclipse Cinemas for our Christmas Movie Morning, everyone enjoyed the movie. We thank all the staff at the cinema for all their help and co-operation during the morning.

• The Mini Soccer on a Sunday morning has finished for the Christmas Holidays and will return in the New Year on Sunday 7^th The coaches will contact the players in the New Year.
• Our Mini Soccer and under 6 training has finished for Christmas and will return on Monday 9^th January, the under 6’s and kids born in 2010, 2009 and 2008 is from 6.00pm – 7.00pm and those children born in 2007 and 2006 is from 7.00pm – 8.00pm. Please note the under 6’s training is indoor.
