Club Notes – Week Beginning 24/10/16

• On Saturday 28^th October we will be holding our first 100 Club draw in Murphy’s Bar, the draw will be held once the players return from Belfast. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has taken a number in our draw, anyone who hasn’t paid for their numbers please do so before Saturday.
• The first team travel to play Albert Foundry this Saturday in the league at Paisley Park Sportsplex, this game kicks off at 2.00pm. Unfortunately Nortel were unable to field last Saturday causing the game to be postponed. Then on Wednesday 2^nd November all roads lead to Seaview as Downpatrick take on Immaculata in the Semi-Final of the Border Cup, this match kicks off at 7.30pm.  
• The seconds have no fixture this week due to all Newcastle League games being called of in preparation for their 60^th Anniversary Gala Night.
• The under 19’s play Lisburn Rangers on Saturday morning at Barbour Playing Fields, kick off is at 11.00am. The 19’s have had some impressive results recently and will be looking to continue that momentum on Saturday.
• On Saturday morning the Hillsborough Boys Chairman presented Caolan Bentham with a signed card and a very kind donation on behalf of his under 19’s players and management. In their match with Downpatrick last week Caolan suffered horrific injuries when he accidentally clashed heads with a Hillsborough player and required hospital treatment. The football club would like to thank the Hillsborough Club for their kind actions, Caolan, the Bentham family and the football club really appreciate this kind gesture.
• The under 16’s are back in league action this Saturday morning, they play league leaders Windmill in Dromore at 9.30am.
• The under 15’s will be looking to build on last weeks victory when they play Celtic Bhoys on Saturday morning in Dunleath Park, this match kicks off at 9.30am.
• The under 13’s returned to winning ways last Saturday when they defeated TW Braga 5 – 4. Downpatricks goals were scored by Lewis Green, Peter Carberry, Marty Steele, John Mahoney and Ruairi Cunliffe. This Saturday they play North End at Wallace Park, this match kicks off at 11.15am.
• The 9-a-side Development team plays Celtic Bhoys at 11.15am and Tollymore at 12.05pm on Pitch 3 in Dunleath.
• Due to the holidays the Mini Soccer on a Sunday morning has been reduce to just the under 10’s on Sunday 30^th October, the coaches will be in touch with more information during the week.
• There will be no Mini Soccer training on Monday 31^st due to Halloween, we will return on Monday 7^th The mini soccer training at the Red High is from 6.00pm – 7.00pm. This training is for children born in 2010, 2009 & 2008. Then training for children born in 2007 & 2006 will train from 7.00pm – 8.00pm.
• There will be no Mini Soccer training on Monday 31^st due to Halloween, we will return on Monday 7^th November Training for children aged 4 and 5 year olds started on Monday 10th October from 6.00pm – 7.00pm.
