Club Notes – Week Beginning 30/03/15
- Downpatrick FC is pleased to announce Murphy’s Stores as the strip sponsors for all our Youth Teams. Shop owner Mark Murphy was delighted to when speaking about the sponsorship, ‘’With my involvement in the Club over the last ten years I am delighted to sponsor the newly formed Youth Team strips, the amount of children which has joined the club over the past ten months has been phenomenal. Having Murphy’s stores associated with this progressive football club is an honour, and it’s a pleasure to see my own children wearing a Downpatrick strip with our logo on it’’. Also speaking about the sponsorship was Downpatrick FC’s Youth Development Officer Paul Moore, ‘’We are really pleased that Murphy’s Stores has agreed to sponsor the strips for the Youth Teams, Mark has invested a lot of time and money in the club over the last number of years and his continued support is valuable to the life blood of the club’’.
- The first team welcome UUJ to Rosconnor as they look to get back to winning ways in the league, kick off is 2.00pm.
- The second team welcome Ardglass Swifts to Dunleath in their final game of the Division 1 League Cup, kick off is 2.00pm.
- The under 14’s & 16’s play tonight (Wednesday) in the league, the 14’s play Lisburn Youth and the 16’s play Willowbank. Both games are at Barbour Playing Fields and kick off is 6.30pm.
- The under 13’s have no fixture this weekend, management will be in touch about training preparations for next weekends Cup Semi-Final against Castlewellan.
- The under 11’s play Tollymore in this Saturday’s fixture, kick off is 10.00am in Dunleath.
- There will be no Mini Soccer this Sunday or any training on Monday 6th April due to the Easter Holidays, the Mini Soccer will return on Sunday 11th April, coaches will be in touch next week.
