Downpatrick FC 2 v Rosemount Rec 2
In the opening ten minutes Downpatrick conceded when the Rosemount striker lost his marker from a corner to give his side the lead. Downpatrick had to call on Paul Savill and James Peacock who were carrying knocksbefore the game, those same players combined when Peacock’s cross was met at the back post for Savill to head home and level the match. For the remainder of the half Downpatrick had the majority of the play and creating chance after chance but couldn’t put them away as the Rosemount keeper was in fine form.

At the start of the half Downpatrick lost Adam Jervis to injury and were forced to play with ten men, as they had no subs.. Rosemount scored moments later after a swift counterattack. Downpatrick kept trying to play their passing game and were rewarded when Thomas Fitzsimons found Andrew McCoubrey at the back post and McCoubrey instantly controlled the pass and volleyed home to level the match. In the closing stages Nathan McShane, Corey McCoubrey and Joe Healy who had excellent games in the middle of the park all had chances to finish the game off the again the
