Seconds Progress In Bobby Dalzell Cup

Saturday 11th October – NADAFL Bobby Dalzell Cup Round 1

Downpatrick FC 2nds 6 v’s Kilmore Rec 2nds 0

Downpatrick went into this match on the back of some impressive results and were looking to continue that run in the Bobby Dalzell Cup against neighbours Kilmore Rec. Due to the competition rules Downpatrick were forced to make a few changes and these changes caused Downpatrick to start slowly but once they got into their stride Kilmore couldn’t cope with the home side.

The first half didn’t see too many chances being created but with two minutes remaining of the half left back Conaill MacNabb picked the ball up in his own half, he advanced into the Kilmore half before playing the ball out wide to left winger Conaill Kerr. MacNabb continued his run into the box and met Kerr’s cross perfectly to give his side the lead.
