The changes had an immediate impact with Darragh scoring the opening goal 5 minutes after coming on. Midfielder Rory Anderson, who put in a man of the match performance, provided the cross for Eoin to head the ball into the back of the net.

Downpatrick’s fourth goal was scored by James McAleenan who very nearly didn’t play due to forgetting his strip only for his dad to make the dash from Castlewellan to Lisburn. McAleenan won the ball on the half way line and he played a neat one two with McShane before shooting into the bottom corner. The goal scoring was completed by Nathan McShane after good work from Callum Shields on the edge of the box, he laid the ball off for his strike partner to slam the ball home.
