Club Notes – Week Beginning 11/03/19

• Downpatrick play Albert Foundry on Saturday afternoon in the league, this game is at Rosconnor and kicks off at 2.00pm.
• The ladies continued their pre-season preparations on Sunday when they welcomed Belfast Ravens on Sunday afternoon to Dunleath, the game was played in atrocious conditions but both teams got some much needed minutes into their legs.
• The under 19’s play Lisburn Distillery on Saturday morning at Hollywood 3G Pitch, this match kicks off at 11.00am.
• The under 17’s was one of the few games which survived the crazy weather on Saturday when they defeated 22^nd Old Boys at the Olympia 3G Pitch 5 – 2. Downpatricks goals were scored by David Forsythe hat-trick, Ethan Artt and an OG. This week they play Comber Rec on Friday night at Londonderry Park 3G Pitch, kick off is at 8.10pm.
• The under 15’s play Celtic Bhoys on Saturday morning in the cup at Dunleath, this match kicks off at 11.00am.
• The under 13’s play Hillsborough Jets at Barbour Playing Fields this Saturday, this match kicks off at 11.15am.
• The under 12’s (2007’s) play Cliftonville at the Lisburn Leisureplex Pitch this Saturday, the match kicks off at 12.00pm.
• The 2008’s played neighbours Strangford FC last Saturday and drew 2 all in bitterly cold conditions, goals were scored by Eoghan Convie and Shay Holland. This Saturday they play Oxford Sunnyside Colts at the Lisburn LeisurePlex Pitches, this match kicks off at 12.00pm.
• Our Mini Soccer training will take a break on Monday 18^th and continues Monday 25^th March from 6.00pm – 7.00pm at the Red High 3G Pitch. This training is for children born in the following years 2009, 2010 & 2011. Players are asked to dress for the weather, wear football boots and shin guards. All old and new players are welcome. • Training for our 2012 and 2013 age groups will take a break on Monday 18^th and continues Monday 25^th March at the Red High 3G pitch from 6.00pm – 7.00pm, please note that children will be outdoors and it’s important they are dressed for the weather and are wearing shin guards and football boots.
