In blustery wet conditions Downpatrick continued their winning run with another fine performance when they made the journey to the Ormeau Road to play Rosario. The Downpatrick management were forced into making several changes due to player unavailability but these changes didn’t affect the team’s performance.

Club Notes Week Beginning 03/11/14
- Have you a couple of hours to spare? We are looking more volunteers/coaches to help out with our growing youth section, particularly our Mini Soccer Age groups. We aren’t asking anyone to come in and be responsible for teams straight away but we do need help with the vast number of children attending. Kerr’s 5 Star Performance
Downpatrick ran out comprehensive winners against Kilkeel on Saturday and they had a five star performance from striker Patrick Kerr who bagged himself five goals for the game. Conditions deteriorated through the game but the players have to be commended on some of the football they played on Saturday.
16’s Return To Winning Ways To Reach Shield Semi-Finals
Downpatrick returned to winning ways after last weeks defeat in the league to progress to the semi-final of the Shield. Downpatrick got of to a slow start and found themselves being over run in midfield and at times they were chasing shadows.
14’s Progress to Semi-Finals
Downpatrick started the game playing into a strong breeze, but within the opening minutes they came to terms with it, Brandon Boyd won the ball in the middle of the park, he then played the ball out to left back Adam Jervis who then released Eoin Rooney with a perfect pass. Rooney controlled the ball and raced clear of the Portadown defence to coolly finish and leave the keeper with no chance.
Turley and McMahon Shine in Seconds Win
Downpatrick seconds continued their impressive winning run with another fine performance against Castlewellan in Annsborough on Saturday. Touser Holland’s men took a while to get into their stride but when they did Castlewellan couldn’t handle their slick passing and forward play.
16’s Fall To Their First Defeat
Downpatrick FC fell to their first defeat of the season at the hands of Lisburn Youth, by a score of 1 – 0. Downpatrick can have no complaints about Saturday’s result, every single player failed to perform against a team who were first to the ball on every occasion and who wanted to win the game more.
